Ex-Dodger star Lavagetto dies

Cookie Lavagetto was one of Casey Stengel's coaches during the 1962 and 1963 seasons. His place in Mets lore is as part of a Marv Throneberry anecdote, where he tells his manager, "Don’t bother arguing Casey, he missed first base too.”
