Ralph Terry gave me an autograped baseball of all the New York Yankees, when I was a litte boy. I am now 52 years old and I do not know what year he gave it to me. I Lived in Edinburg, TX and his father lived there also his dad and my dad were friends. How can I e-mail him to find out year?

How ironic, one of Terry's first games with the Mets was an August afternoon in 1966 at Shea, and he gave up a home run to Bill Mazeroski!!!! I was sitting in the outer loge seats in fair territory in LF....ball landed 6 rows in front of me......

my memory of ralph terry is not a pleasant one.during the all star break in the sixties many yankees and Mets relaxed at grossingers resort up in the catskill mountains. they would swim and play some golf. well I used to stay at a place nearby for the summer.i would always look forward to sneaking into grossingers and getting some of the players' autographs. by in large the players were very accomodating and friendly.i have fond memories of lary bernarth, tim harkness and galen cisco.this brings me back to ralph terry.since I approached him for his autograph while he was on the golf course,he cursed at me and was downright nasty to a 10 year old admirer....not a nice guy.

My father and Ralph went to school together in Chelsea, Oklahoma. Ralph's cousin married my uncle. My dad was catcher on the high school baseball team. Dad said he would put 3 or 4 handkerchiefs in his glove but the ball was coming so fast it still burned his hand.

Ralph Terry is one of the nicest men I have ever met. He played golf in my hometown since the early 90's and still resides there. He coached me to college golf and gave all his knowledge to me and my high school teammates. What great stories this man has and he can recall every one of them and is not afraid to tell them for hours. What a great man--he is still and excellent golfer by the way

Great pitcher, but not with the Mets.

Now, if Willie McCovey's drive had been two feet higher, Ralph Terry would have gone down in history as the man who lost two World Series seventh games in the bottom of the ninth inning for the Yankees.

Lucky for him that Bobby Richardson had moved over to scrape that dirt in 1962.

In 1962 or 63 while I was stationed at Andrews AFB my boss called and told me he wanted me to play golf with someone famous. Playing golf for most of my life I jumped at the chance. It was Ralph Terry. After 18 holes I think he beat me 1 or 2 up. I may have lost to him in golf, but I ended up the big winner. I got a chance to watch a lot of the Yankee greats plus I got to play golf with one of them, a very warm and nice guy. Thanks for the memory Ralph.
