Olmedo Antonio Perez, was a good ball player, and a good person. I got to know him for lots of years and I really miss him. After his baseball time he was living in Lewiston, Idaho until his death.

Olmedo A. Perez was a very good ball player and athlete. Everything he did, he did well. He bowled a very good game and he also enjoyed shooting pool. After his baseball career he still played softball in Lewiston, Idaho, likely in the toughest league; it was evident back then he was an accomplished ball player. You could see it in his swing, in the way he moved, in the way he handled the glove, and in his understanding of and love for the game. He told me once that at the time before his retirement from Baseball, he was throwing around 96 mph. He was around at the same time Joaquin Andujar had his beginnings.
As I write these lines, I am still hoping he is still around somewhere, and this is all a mistake. He must have been 54 or so. I do not know when he passed away, and I miss him so much. I hope that Winfred and Lysandro or Pablo read these lines and contact me. I want to find out more about my dear friend.

Hello I just ended up reading this , Olmedo PÃ©rez was my uncle who passed several years back. He caught a stroke when he was living in Idaho and became very sick. He was brought to a nursing home in the bronx were he spent a few years fighting for his life then when he got a little better he passed on us :-(.
