Kenny Marshall graduated from Grange Hall High School in 1963, after winning two Group 3 District E championships. He was signed to a Mets contract by Tommy Byrnes of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Williams Campbell of Chesterfield Virginia. Marshall was signed to the Quincy, Illinois Class A Baseball team. He was a country boy in the corn fields of the mid-west. In 1964 he was signed to the Auburn New York, class A team which won the league championship and The Governors Cup Tournament. Some of the best players in the country were on this team. Tug McGraw was beginning his great career. Marshall married his wife, Geraldine of Rose Hill, Virginia. They had two daughters and Marshall retired from the DuPont Company after 30 years of service as a maintenance planner. Kenny has 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and still resides in Chesterfield, Virginia. Just turned 80.
