HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

Kenny Marshall
February 27, 2025
In 1963 Tom Stepp was the shortstop of The Quincy Jets, a class A baseball team in the Mid-West League. He was a real tough and durable player. He was there every day and could always be counted on. He was a friend. At the end of the season Tom asked if I would ride with him in his car to his home in West Virginia, then I could fly To my home in Virginia. This would save me about half of my airline ticket and give him company for the trip. We had a great trip talking about our season and what may be in the future! We arrived at the airport at about 11:00 pm and my flight was not until morning. No one was in the airport so I found a good spot to put all my luggage and sleep for the night. The next morning a house keeper woke me up and I went to the restroom to get ready for my flight. It was a local flight that stopped 4 times before it arrived in Virginia. I thought I would never get home. I never heard from Tom again!
